Having been here since our opening, Andres’ tenure rivals Thunder Valley’s years in operation, and he exemplifies what the resort can offer those who seek a fulfilling, rewarding career.
Andres started his career as a line cook and has worked in various culinary positions through the years, eventually becoming our current Assistant Executive Chef, which is remarkable, considering he’s never attended a formal culinary school.
At Thunder Valley, Andres learned his trade through mentoring by a host of experienced chefs from various Thunder Valley restaurants.
“To me, Thunder Valley is a culinary school,” he said. “That’s the cool thing. … It’s full of knowledge.”
